- HALF MOON GOLF COURSE WAS DESIGNED BY WORLD-RENOWNED ARCHITECT ROBERT TRENT JONES, SR. AND OPENED IN 1962.
- The course was later modernised by Roger Rulewich, who removed non-native trees, expanded several greens and renovated bunkers, creating a masterpiece of sheer beauty and game-raising challenges. Routed through a retired sugarcane estate, the course hugs the toe of the slopes of the hills overlooking Half Moon.
- It is a bow-tie, classic layout with multiple sets of tees, well-bunkered greens -contoured to accommodate surface drainage, and an overall length ranging from 5,035 to 7,120 yards. A beautiful walking course, this 18-hole par-72 championship course tests scratch and novice golfers.
- Primary defence of par are the 26 shallow-faced fairway bunkers requiring solidly-struck tee balls to find the short grass. Constant trade winds blowing off the Caribbean Sea create up-wind challenges and down-wind opportunities. Listen to our caddies, they possess a wealth of course knowledge and are eager to lend an eye to guide a birdie putt, or share a story from their years of experience.

Golf groups can be selected individually by registering a team or requesting to
be grouped with others. Groups will be randomly created based on the
golfer’s skill and handicap.
Tournament play will be the best ball. Each player will play from the tee box
and select the best ball to continue the hole.
Yes, Caddies will be assigned to each pairing.
Yes, there will be continental breakfast as well as food options to purchase at
the course.
We have several events planned for golfers AND non-golfers. In addition,
there will be opportunities touring Jamaica and visiting the first school that will
house The Book Cove, the literacy initiative.
Yes, we will have a tournament contest to test the skill.

Yes, Cinnamon Hill Golf course provides rental clubs. $40 per person
Transportation will be provided to and from the Secrets St. James Resort to
Cinnamon Hill Golf course. Details of departure and return times will be made
available upon arrival to the resort.

Yes, Upton Estate Golf & Country Club course provides rental clubs. Titleist club rentals available for men and women (Left and right-handed). Rates as follows: $75 per person (includes complimentary sleeve of Titleist Pro V1 golf balls – 3 for course play
Transportation will be provided to and from the Sandals Ochi resort to Upton Estate Golf & Country Club Course complimentary. Details of departure and return times will be made available upon arrival to the resort.
