Role Description
Caribbean with Purpose provides educators, ministry partners, developers, and travelers with an opportunity to make a difference by using their time, talent and resources to design, construct and equip a Book Literacy Cove. This initiative is a program that focuses on building literacy among early childhood and primary school-age students in under resourced schools that lack literacy resources, libraries or reading nook.

A HEART FOR CHILDREN
Our Rationale
Local schools in the Caribbean are extremely under resourced and lack adequate teaching staff and resources. There is a need to improve the quality of education in the Caribbean for the next generation.
A 2018 report highlighted 4 key areas where system-wide changes are needed:
- Early Childhood Education
- Poor Accountability
- Closing the Achievement and Digital Gap
- Commitment of Public and Private Sector Involvement

CWP will provide a rigorous, well-founded instructional program that accelerates academic opportunities for underserved and underperforming students by reducing the achievement gap. Additionally, we propose to leverage community resources to strengthen family and community engagement in supporting student and school success. This program will provide an inspiring, informative and innovative platform for educators and students to achieve both personal and professional development leading to graduation and lifelong learning.
